what a book - the most candid and beautiful photos - i hadn't looked at this book in years - it took me back to the day - i was 12 years pld and they sent us home from school around 2 o'clock - and as walked home from school i saw growups crying in the street - just walking and crying - there was this man and he was on the corner holding on to a lamppost and he couldn't contintue - he had a transistor radio at his ear and the tears just ran down his face - i asked him if he was ok and he said, "he was our hope and they killed him" i asked him if he needed a doctor and he said...."a doctor can never fix this" - i continued on to my home and oened the front door and saw my mother and father standing in the living room holding each other in this deep embrace - i'd never seen them embrace like this before .....they were both crying.........my father finally broke away and said ..."i spent 2 years in a german prison camp so the american people could live in a free country"   "what have we done to our own"....he proceeded to sit at the kitchen table and hold his head in his hands.....and my mother trying to console him ...said ...Bob...these are the Kennedys.....his brother Bobby will not let John KIennedys life be in vain....and my dad said.....and i will never forget it......"Ann, do you not think they will kill Bobby if they had no compunctions about killing our president, the only president who was interested in the truth since Abraham Lincoln" And we all know what they did to Bobby....
 
I reread this book after all these years and i broke down like a baby and cried.....for the first time i realized what was actually killed.....at that time.....it was the innocence of the soul of the united states...and i finally understood what the man on the lamp post and what my parents were crying about...
here's to the age of camelot......
here's to 2 pure souls seeking the truth.......who were willing to die fror it
